What is HACCP?

HACCP is a management system in which food safety is addressed through the analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement and handling, to manufacturing, distribution and consumption of the finished product.

What is a HACCP certified course?

Our HACCP courses teach HACCP level 2. The course teaches the student how to build a HACCP plan and legally sign the required documents such as the plan itself, the SOPs, the monitoring logs, validation logs, checklists, training logs, and all the other documents that would be required to make up a HACCP plan.

How long does it take to complete?

It will take a minimum of 18 hours to complete the course.

Do I have to take it all at once?

No. You can enter and leave the course as often as you need to. You have a whole year, from the date of enrollment, to complete the course.

Is there an exam that must be passed?

Yes, there is an exam that you must pass. The minimum pass score is 80%

What happens if I fail the exam?

Don’t worry, there are many of us that took more than one try to pass. You can take the test as often as you’d like.

How long do I have access?

You have a full 365 days of access to the course and exam. Even once you pass the exam you’ll still be able to access the course, the exam and all the documents.

Will I get any help with the GMPs and PRPs? 

Yes, the course has over 200 templates and examples of GMPs, PRPs, tables, charts, checklists, etc. The course also teaches what GMPs are required as well as how to create the documentation for them. We have a free course on creating SOPs.

Is the certificate of completion certified by the International HACCP Alliance?

Yes, our subject matter experts, who sign the certificates, are IHA trained trainers.

Is the course automated?

Yes. The course is absolutely automated. Once you start it will remember where you are at and start you at that location. You can jump forwards or back if you’d like. All interactions are recorded in our databases for the proctor.

Is the course Narrated?

Some of our courses are narrated.

Yes. Call or email and we’ll answer immediately or within the hour.

How do I pay for the course?

Register at the https://ehaccp.org/haccpcertification training centre, it’s free. Select the course you’d like to enrol in. Click the “Click here to pay” button. If you are using a credit card then scroll down to “Pay with a Credit or Visa Debit card”. Once you’ve completed the transaction you’ll have immediate access to the course you paid for.

How long is my certification good for?

That depends upon the authority body you are beholden to. Technically a HACCP certification does not have an expiration date. It may be required to renew based on employer, insurance, auditor, client, local or state requirements. For high-risk foods like meat, there are “requirements” that they are renewed every 3 – 5 years. It’s best to check with your auditor.
